In this style of carving, the artisan captures the image of a person with their "Head Bowed Low". Generally, in the Zimbabwean culture, a person with their head bowed is an indication of respect & worship. They can also be expressing feelings of shyness or sadness (depending on the facial expression), or be meditating or thinking.
